Em's Christmas surprise from Santa

Santa stuffed our stockings!

Las Vegas was both amazing and challenging. Coley spent the first three days in Mesquite, NV playing golf with his Dad. At the beginning of our planning of the trip, I thought no problem with me alone and four children. Well, here I am admitting that I was wrong! It was challenging to supervise four children through the casinos and streets of Vegas. Then, to provide entertainment to make a 5- and 7- year old happy is not the same as providing entertainment for a 15- and almost 16- year old. Honestly, the kids were amazing and fun was had by all- except for an occasional breakdown by Mom! We were able to watch a 4-D version of Polar Express on Christmas Eve, tour the Shark Reef Aquarium at Mandalay Bay, attend the Tournament of Kings dinner and festival/jousting, tour the Bodies Exhibition, watch Blue Man Group, attend Cirque de Soliel's Beatles LOVE performance, watch the moving replicas of the gods and goddesses at Caesar's Palace Forum Shops, ate at delicious restaurants, played countless hours at the Excalibur and New York, New York arcades and walked through almost every hotel. On Christmas eve, the girls placed cookies for Santa and carrot cake for the reindeer on the table in our hotel room. On Christmas morning, we were so pleased to see that indeed Santa had found us and left us an amazing Christmas surprise- a family trip to Disneyland! He had left a t-shirt for each girl with their favorite Disney character which read, "Merry Christmas, (child's name)!" and also said on the back, "Love, Santa." He also left visors with Mickey's ears in each daughters favorite color and their name on the side. So, we left Vegas and were bound for Disneyland!

I actually kept a secret! That is a Christmas miracle all by its self! We had such a good time just being together. Our lives are crazy busy and this allowed us to sit and talk and hug! I want to go back right now!
