Our summer has begun! As a part of a promise I made myself, I am preparing our family blog site. I view this as an opportunity to update family and friends of our "goings-on" and a diary/journal of our life. I will be enlisting editorial help of all four girls and my husband on occasion.
I want to thank Shelly for her inspiration and guidance to the "Blog World!" I so enjoy looking at the DSA Life Adventures Blog. Alli has decided to grow up even when her uncle, aunt and cousins haven't seen her very much. The beauty of the blog is that Shelly allows us into their world so that we may watch Alli grow and achieve all her milestones. Thank you, Shelly!
I am dwelling in a world that I only thought would be here one day, but would not actually arrive... Emmy is a freshman in high school! On a daily basis, I am reflecting on where my little girl went and how in the hell I can get her back! Those days are gone. I now look to a future that I simple view as "only four more years." We have four more years with her and then she leaves us for the big, bad world. I am so afraid that world will eat her alive and that I have not taught her so many necessary life skills. Can she properly prepare a dinner with all the food groups present? Can she measure the appropriate level of cold medicine if she gets the sniffles? Does she know not to blow dry her hair while taking a shower? A million "what-ifs" boggle my motherly mind. The biggest... does she know that I love her for the amazing woman that she is becoming and currently is? I sure hope so!
Well, there is my first post. I am posting a picture I took 4 years ago when we first moved. I will be posting updated photos in the next day or two. I have Maddie's 4th birthday pictures to upload and share.
Think of this as an open dialogue of my life confessions... your responses, comments and philosophical thoughts are welcomed! Actually, they are very much needed!!

I miss you guys. I was just talking with Matt & Kerry yesterday(who now are the proud parents of Trent Maxwell, who will be known as Max). They are planning a trip home to show him off this summer. I realized that when we took that same trip last summer to show Alli off that it was the last time we saw you all. I wish we were closer or that direct flights were cheaper and more abundant!
